An open, friendly and informal charitable club for climbers in the Belfast area
Club news
Belfast Climbing Club exists to give climbers an opportunity to meet and climb with each other locally and farther afield. We meet twice a week at climbing walls in Belfast and run trips farther afield monthly. We are a charity and the club is run entirely to support its members and the climbing community.
Although we don’t take beginners, you don’t need much experience to come and climb with us. The club provides a great way for people with some indoor climbing experience to try climbing outside, or for climbers new to the area to meet other climbers.
There’s some amazing climbing not far from us. Belfast is ideally situated to take advantage of the glorious sea cliffs at Fair Head, the rolling granite hills and crags of the Mourne Mountains, and the Derryveagh Mountains and sea cliffs of Donegal.

Mournes Guide
We have put together a small, comprehensive guide of the Mournes, that allows an overview of the crags, number of routes in each crag, and the grade distribution as well. The guide can be accessed here.
